Al-Madinah School is a state integrated area school. The school was provisionally registered on 17 August, 1992 and received a full registration as a full primary school on 17 December, 1992. The secondary section of the school was added in 1995; hence Al-Madinah became an area school. The school was integrated into the state education system in 1996.

 The Al-Madinah Trust ( The Sponsor) has applied to the Charter School Association to convert Al-Madinah School from being a State Integrated School  to a Charter School, still teaching the same programmes. The Trust is planning to open an additional Auckland Campus  in Blockhouse Bay beginning in 2026 and increase capacity at the Mangere School site. This survey is for those families who would like to enroll their children  for the  existing Al-Madinah School or the new school in Blockhouse Bay located at 37 Heaphy Street.
